Product Description

POWERTEC AD1001 Indoor Air Quality Monitor with 7-inch LCD Display for Workshop and Home Use

Indoor Air Quality Monitor – Professional-Grade Protection for Workshops & Homes

The air in your workspace tells a story. Sawdust from a fresh rip cut, finishing fumes lingering after a stain job, or carbon dioxide building up during long work sessions. The POWERTEC AD1001 Indoor Air Quality Monitor provides real-time visibility into what you can’t see, helping you create a safer, healthier environment.

Designed as a professional indoor air quality monitor, the AD1001 tracks CO₂, particulate matter (PM1.0, PM2.5, PM10), formaldehyde (HCHO), volatile organic compounds (TVOC), temperature, and humidity using advanced NDIR infrared and semiconductor sensor technology. Unlike basic consumer devices, this system provides the accuracy and stability required in dust-heavy, fume-prone environments. This makes it an excellent air quality monitor for workshops, garages, and fabrication spaces.

Whether you’re operating a one-person garage shop or managing a professional workspace, this monitor delivers instant visual alerts through color-coded indicators and audible alarms when air conditions become unsafe. The large 7-inch LCD shows all readings at once—no scrolling, no guesswork. With cordless operation and fast charging, it also functions as a portable indoor air quality monitor you can move wherever the work happens.

Key Features & Benefits

Advanced Multi-Sensor Accuracy

  • NDIR infrared CO₂ sensor provides fast, stable, and highly accurate readings—ideal for detecting poor ventilation during finishing, enclosed work, or extended occupancy
  • Laser particle sensors measure PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10 (0–999 μg/m³), capturing fine wood dust generated by sanding, routing, and cutting operations
  • Electrochemical formaldehyde (HCHO) sensor (0–2 mg/m³) monitors off-gassing from plywood, MDF, and composite materials
  • Semiconductor TVOC sensor (0–5 mg/m³) detects fumes from stains, adhesives, solvents, and coatings

Clear Visibility & Real-Time Alerts

  • Large 7-inch color LCD display shows all air quality metrics simultaneously with three adjustable brightness levels
  • Color-coded air quality indicators (green / yellow / red) allow instant condition checks without stopping work
  • Audible alarms notify you when CO₂, particulate matter, HCHO, or TVOC levels exceed safe thresholds
  • Temperature & humidity monitoring (-40° to 211°F, 0–99% RH) helps manage comfort, wood movement, and finish curing

Portable & Rechargeable Design

  • Built-in 2500mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to 6 hours of cordless monitoring
  • Fast 2-hour recharge allows quick turnaround; unit can also operate while plugged in
  • Compact footprint (7.87" × 5.51" × 2.76", 1.42 lbs) fits easily on benches, carts, or shelves

Simple Setup & Everyday Use

  • Intuitive touch controls for temperature units, clock format, and display brightness
  • Quick warm-up calibration ensures reliable readings with minimal startup time
  • No complex setup required—ready to monitor straight out of the box

Workshop & Home Versatility

  • Ideal for woodworking shops, spray booths, and finishing areas where dust and fumes fluctuate
  • Suitable for garages, warehouses, and industrial spaces requiring continuous monitoring
  • Effective as a home indoor air quality monitor for basements, nurseries, kitchens, and living spaces
  • A smart choice for anyone seeking the best indoor air quality monitor for mixed-use environments

Sleek and easy to use air monitor

Posted by Briar on Feb 26th 2026

This is a sleek compact design that is well thought out and appears to be very well made. It is easy to use and the display is big and bright and easy to read. All the info is displayed automatically. You don't have to guess if the readings are good or bad since each sensor readout has green, yellow, and red bars to indicate the status. There is also a colored scale at the bottom that has an indicator that moves over the series of colors to indicate overall air quality at a glance. It also beeps a warning as the air quality gets worse. It has a rechargeable battery so you can easily move it to where you are working and you don't have to plug it in or worry about tripping over a cord. I have had mine for a couple weeks now and it has worked well and has given me some good data. The particulate matter readings (3) rise when I vacuum, solder, or use a hot glue gun that gives off a small amount of smoke. Some light sanding w/o active dust collection really made it spike. The TVOC (VOCs) reading ran up when I used a small amount of alcohol on a rag to clean. The readouts also allow me to gauge how well my shop made air filter works, how much particulate matter different tasks produce, and how long it takes the shop air to clear after performing various tasks. I think this air quality monitor could be useful in a lot of different activities, especially woodworking, hobbies, remodeling and manufacturing. I didn't know I needed one of these until I read the details and I realized it checked all the boxes for the issues I was concerned with. I am very happy with mine and would recommend this unit to anyone who thinks it would be useful to them.
