Product Overview

Powertec-table saw crosscut sled-tablesaw jig-POWERTEC woodworking accessories

Introducing the Table Saw Crosscut Sled Kit by POWERTEC.

This cross cut jig was designed to produce perfectly repeatable and highly accurate cross cuts when using a full-size contractor grade table saw. No matter the type of cut, this tablesaw sled kit performs efficiently and effectively. Large pieces can now be handled much easier and with greater accuracy.

  • INCLUDES: Crosscut Table Saw Sled kit comes with table base, MDF fence face, fence, flip stop, hold down clamp, miter bar and installation hardware to give you everything you need to begin producing precise cuts right out of the box
  • FEATURES: Easy to read 1/2° graduations, a hairline indicator for mistake free tablesaw setups, right edge zero clearance, and simplistic design for a quick and easy installation
  • HIGH PRECISION CUTS: Complete with an integrated angled ruler to ensure you get the desired cut with accurate measurements
  • ULTIMATE WOODWORKING JIG: Produces quicker, safer cuts for edge and detailing work projects requiring degree accuracy - Supports the material and holds it still for a perfect right angle cut.
  • PREMIUM DESIGN: Provides a large smooth sliding worksurface with an easy to read, accurate scale that produces high precision miters and repeatable crosscuts for table saw applications

The sled comes complete with stops and clamps used to hold the work, safely keeping hands away from the blade. This also gives you more control with less chance of kickbacks. The sled table is cut to fit the individual saw and blade – acting like a zero clearance insert.

PLEASE NOTE: The table saw crosscut sled is intended for use only on cabinet and full-size contractor-grade table saws with a standard 3/8"D x 3/4" W miter slot. It is NOT intended for use on portable saws and benchtop saws.

Sled Features

  • Adjustable 90 degree stop.
  • Easy to read graduations for mistake free set-ups and measurements.
  • Hold down clamps will not deform or bow the table if the clamp bolt is clamped straight.
  • Low friction tape that prevents wear, protects the table and provides seamless transitions and sliding for the platform and/or fence.
  • A high quality flip stop designed to prevent the accumulation of chips and debris without extending the entire width of the fence surface.

71403 TABLE SAW CROSSCUT SLED KIT

Posted by Mike CMRWYld on Jun 18th 2024

Before anything else, I want to say how awesome the Powertec team is. The crosscut sled kit I ordered had been dropped in shipping, resulting in the corner of the sled being badly damaged (all other hardware was fine). I ordered the sled through Amazon but didn't want to go through the hassle of returning it via the Amazon site. I contacted Powertec directly and sent pictures of the damage, and within hours, they told me they would replace the sled. I shake my head when I think of all the hassles I had trying to build a sled compared to how easy setting up and squaring the Powertec is. I am so grateful to have this sled. The setup took minutes. I will add one tweak to the instructions, however. When inserting the nylon adjustment screws on the miter bar, make sure to screw them in so they are flush fully. For me, this was an important step to then back out the adjustment screws to stop the wobble. The instructions say not to tighten them because adjustment will come later, but if they are not flush, the miter might not fit the miter slot. The adjustments I had to make took two minutes. I did use the 5-cut method to square the sled. At this point, I have it to .006. I'm fine with that, but I know just minor adjustments with the set screw can dial it in. This design is so great. The included stop block and hold-down clamp work great and have already shown their worth in one day of project building. I'm a newbie woodworker, but I can tell this sled will greatly improve my game. Thanks Powertec.
